CARLOS DE LA CÁRCOVA

Argentine Sculptor (1903-1974) of remarkable stature.
His treatment of the material revealed certain influence of traditional eclecticism.
It is only after the Second World War that Argentine sculpture is drawn to abstraction, to constructivism, to concretism and spatialism. Together with other sculptors like José Planas Casas and Antonio Sassone, he formed the group that has shaped his art in the stage that preceded the predominance of non-figurative art trends.
